That was not the case this past weekend, says Los Angeles police officials. TMZ.com reports that during a party at a gathering in a Los Angeles' historic Mulholland Drive, four men trespassed at 2am Monday morning (February 22). After waving pistols, the assailants pistol-whipped two of the party-goers, one of which was Berg, and split with a reported $10,000 in cash and jewels.
At the time of TMZ's story, Berg's reps state that the rapper was in Las Vegas during the weekend. That rep said they had heard nothing about Monday's incident.
The Los Angeles Times claims the house of the robbery to be owned by a "Rap record label," though the specifics have yet to be confirmed.
UPDATE: Yung Berg just posted this video:
He said the following, reportedly from Las Vegas. "So basically there is a story on TMZ or whatever. Thanks for the free promo and publicity right now. It’s just not the right publicity. I wish y'all was talking about the album or mixtape. I am fine. I’m straight. I’m still gorgeous. I love you mom, Thanks for these good genes."
It was unclear whether or not Berg was confirming or denying the reports. After giving fans his status, he said the following. "Stop paying attention to bullshit. It ain't about nothing. It gets you nowhere."
